Below is the obituary for Charley Welsh of the 15th Infantry, Co. C. He was buried at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery, Tucumcari, Quay County, New Mexico.



The Obituary:

Charley Welsh

Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed for Charley Welsh, 89, who died early today at his family home in Tucumcari.

His body is at Dunn Funeral Home and Dunns will announce the hour and place for services. Interment will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park.

Mr. Welsh homesteaded in the Norton Community in 1906 where he was a farmer and rancher. He has made his home in Tucumcari since 1939. He was a veteran of the Spanish American War.

Survivors include his widow, Elizabeth, of Tucumcari and seven children.  They are Mrs. Ethel Walt, Mrs. Dorothy Fenter, Mrs. Edna Nicoley and Mrs. Alta Moncus of  Tucumcari; Mrs. Dick Kemp, McAlister; Carl Welsh of Prescott, Ariz.;and Mrs. John Black of Aztec,N.M. Also 17 grand children, 13 great grandchildren; brother Steve Welsh of Spokane, Wash., two sisters, Mrs. Julia Rosenburg, Roscoe, Mo., and Mrs. Dollie Dorety, Blackwell, Okla.
