This copper medal was awarded for service in the Cuban Revolution
of 1895-1898, the end of which included the actions of the Spanish
American
War.
The medal itself is marked sterling. The drop measures 1.385" in
diameter. The medal reads on the from "La Patria A Sus Libertadores."
The
reverse read side reads "Guerra De Independencia De Cuba." The
bar
is 1.602" long and is marked "Freeman, Mercaderes 2, Habana" on the
reverse.
The AOL is 2.212".
The ribbon is fabricated from paper merely to indicate what the
original
ribbon would have looked like.
