This drawing, drawn at a scale of 1/2" to the foot, shows the plan, profile
and sections of a 24 pounder wooden gun carriage. The sheet contains 6
views and is reproduced on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet.

Item 1004 - Reprint of a rare 1778 Almanac - This is a high quality color reproduction of Benjamin West's "New England Almanak or Lady's and Gentleman's Diary" printed in Providence, Rhode Island. The publication includes the rising and seting of the sun, moon and some stars for every day of the year, eclipses, info. on predicting weather and tides, info. on the courts of new England, and in on roads, and some additional articles. The copy is in color because the paper has aged to a brownish color. One page is incomplete (September/October).

Item 1011 - Journal of the Lancaster County Historical Society (Vol. 82, No. 1) containing an articles entitled "Right's Crossing" by Richard Seltzer (34 pages). The script of a fictional play about the American Revolution and the stategic importance of the Wright's Ferry (the site of modern Columbia) on the Susquehanna River. The play concerns events of December 1777, while the Congress was meeting across the river at York, PA and General Washington's army was at Valley Forge. Some of the characters are actual historical figures. . This is an original copy of the 1979 publication, not a reprint. It is in excellent condition. 6" x 9"!
Item 1012 - Rebellion - A Northwest Territory novel - This book is a novel written by Oliver Payne, and is billed as a novel of romance, war, honor and adventure. The title is Rebellion - Northwest Territory Book 4. The blurb on the back of the book reads "1776 And the smoking fies of revolution burst into flame. At the peril of their lives, Owen and Ella Sutherland forsake their great trading company and travel east. Item 3010 - General Edward Hand - Journal of the Lancaster County (PA) Historical Society containing and article on General Edward, George Washington's adjutant general. The article in entitled "General Edward Hand, Experimental Farmer." The article concerns the general's research on the use of plaster of Paris as an application to fields and also the "General Hand Plum.". The article is 7 pages in length. This is not a reprint but the original 1962 publication. It is in excellent condition. 6"x9"
