Army of Cuban Occupation Medal

This medal was issued to the members of the U.S. Army who served
in the Army of Occupation in Cuba between 1898 and 1902. This medal is
a post-Spanish American War medal. This specimen was dug up in Gallatin,
Tennessee.
The obverse reads "United States Army/For Service" and shows an eagle
over a collection of flags, cannons etc. At the lower edge are thirteen
stars.
The reverse reads "Army of Occupation/Military Government of Cuba"
and shows the Cuban crest.
