This image is a color print of the CHARLESTON.
She is shown in her peacetime white paint. The image shows her configuration
when launched. Initially, her 8 inch guns were unavailable, and additional
6 inch guns were added on her foredeck instead. When the she was eventually
refitted with her 8 inch guns, other changes were made such a changes in
the rigging, etc.
