The hulk of the ANTONIO LOPEZ
This image is of the burned out hulk of the ANTONIO
LOPEZ, which had attempted to run the blockade surrounding Puerto Rico,
ran aground and was subsequently set ablaze by incendiary shells from the
U.S. Cruiser NEW ORLEANS. The Spanish had time, however, to completely
unload her before she was set afire.
Here, she is completely burned out, with her bulkheads beginning
to collapse inwards from a lack of support.
